Overview

Having gained many years of work experience within children services, adult services and the youth offending service has given me a vast variety of knowledge, experience and dedication to supporting children, young people and adults who are currently in need of a variety of service provisions to address their personal needs.

I am currently working for Medway Council fostering team as an individual resource driver, escorting young people to schools and various meetings.

Prior to this, I have always worked in the social care field supporting children, young people and adults in their local communities. I have supported and assisted many social workers and professionals with complex and sensitive cases.

I have had regular training in child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, first aid and risk assessment, to ensure that good practices are carried out at all times inn accordance with directorate policy and national standards. I have the understanding and person centred approach to supporting various vulnerable individuals with the commitment to achieving positive outcomes and goals for all individuals in my care and responsibility.

I would prefer to undertake social care support for all vulnerable people in need. I am well aware of various Government legislation within social care and always encourage learning in order to keep up to date with the changing priorities of social care. I possess the ability to form good relationships with service user, carers and families by understanding their needs individually. I feel that it is very important to gain the trust of the people I will be supporting in order to build an instant rapport and role model. I have the desire to promote wellbeing, equality and diversity for all individuals which recognises and encourages anti-discriminatory behaviour, respecting confidentiality of information, recognising clients right and choice and respecting personal beliefs and identity.

I can speak different languages to support service users and their families from ethnic backgrounds. I have the skills, presence and knowledge to offer my experience to all the vulnerable people I will be working with.

Currently working for Medway Council (Fostering team). Undertaking daily school runs. Also available to work during school holidays.
