I am a hard-working, reliable support worker and I care about the service users I work with. I believe in person-centred care and always apply to this to my work with every service user, putting them and their needs first. I always communicate well and try my best to adapt to different communication needs. I’m willing to learn new things and have new training where possible.

I have worked at Caring Choice activity centre for the last 6 years and this is where I have completed my NVQ’s and training. I have spent most of my years working with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis, but also supporting groups of service users too.

I always encourage service users to engage in beneficial activities and encourage life skills and independence. I support service user’s freedom of choice and encourage them to make their own decisions.

I like to make people smile, if I can make somebody smile or laugh I feel accomplished knowing I have made a difference to their day. I am a happy, bubbly and patient person and I enjoy making a difference to people’s lives. I am very passionate and care about the work that I do.
