Additional information about working hoursAvailable every Tuesday from 5pm until about 7.30-8.00pm. I am more flexible during the school holidays.
I currently work as a Sports Coach in a variety of schools. I coach Primary School pupils a range of sports such as Football and Basketball. The children I coach have varied skill levels and require different levels of support and guidance, therefore my skill set has to be adaptable to reach the needs of each individual and so they can reach their full potential in the lesson I am teaching.
Alongside my Sports Coach job, I work part time as a Support Worker and I have performed this role for 8 years. This role consists of supporting individuals with additional needs in various social environments such as bowling, shopping and swimming. I have gained my experience through a charity based company called We Are Beams and the Direct Payment scheme. One individual I have supported for 8 years and we’ve built an excellent relationship. He enjoys going on various buses and I’ve helped him gain a better understanding on how the bus system works, and where and how to get the bus from his home to various destinations and back.
Furthermore, prior to my job as Sports Coach, I worked at Ifield School for 5 years, which is an additional needs school. My role consisted of supporting pupils with various needs such as Autism in curriculum lessons like Maths and English.
My education history consists of 2 years of college studies, where I gained a BTEC National Diploma in Sport Fitness and Exercise. To further my education, I studied at university for 3 years. I studied Sport and Exercise Management and received a 2.1 grade. I also have A to C GCSE grades in English and Maths.
